The Roastery is at the heart of what we do at the Goodlife Coffee Company. The hand-crafted interior finish makes a fitting home for our state of the art coffee roasting equipment and an inspiring environment to nurture our fresh green beans into deliciously roasted coffee.

Situated in a renovated old farm warehouse in a small country-town in Switzerland, the Goodlife Roastery is based in an idyllic setting for roasting specialty coffee. Our small and experienced team is meticulous when it comes to quality and treats every new batch of coffee with painstaking care so as to ensure that all of the best aromas and flavors are brought to life.

The best quality coffee begins with the best quality ingredients. The team at the Goodlife Coffee Company believes in rewarding farmers for growing, harvesting and sorting beans of the highest standard that are fit for specialty coffee roasting.
Our partners have established relations directly with the farmers since more than 20 years – a testimony to the sustainable sourcing practices and shared value etiquette.
Our carefully selected single-origin coffees are all 100% Arabica, coming from both Africa and central America, including: Ethiopia, El Salvador and Guatemala. Seasonal batches ensure the freshness of the beans and established supply networks limit the carbon footprint for transporting the beans to Switzerland.
Part of our mission is to visit farmers annually and share directly with them our customer feedback about the coffee and guide them towards improving farm and processing practice in order to produce higher quality coffee.

Roasting

Where art meets science – we balance our roasting style with a combination of passion, flare and technology. Relatively small roast batch sizes enable us to modulate the flavor profiling of our beans simply with the addition of heat. We achieve this by roasting slightly “lighter”, balancing acidity while carefully avoiding burning any of the natural flavors and aromas of the bean. Every different origin has its own unique characteristic flavors which we strive to preserve all the way to the cup – creating the essence behind a Goodlife coffee moment.

With an obsession for coffee and a mission for quality, we cup and taste our coffees religiously. This daily ritual enables us to be experts of our product and not only ensure the highest quality coffee, but also to experiment and develop new signature taste profile to share with our Goodlife Coffee enthusiasts. “Fresh is best” is our motto at the Goodlife Coffee Company. We stipulate a shelf-life of no longer than 3 months. This is a challenge we are happy to take on to ensure that our customers get the freshest coffee every time. We roast daily on demand for both our retail and wholesale customers and deliver daily.
