Online orders

Do you deliver internationally?

For the moment, we only deliver to Switzerland.

How long does delivery take?

If you place your order before 11am, we guarantee delivery within 48 hours.

What is the minimum order value for free delivery?

From 40CHF, we offer free delivery throughout Switzerland.

What happens if my package is lost by the carrier?

We launch a search with our carrier and return the order to you if it is not found.

What happens if my parcel is stolen from my letterbox?

At the time of purchase, if you choose the option without signature, Goodlife is not responsible for theft. If the “with signature” option is ticked, the carrier is obliged to deliver it to you personally.

Can I return my parcel?

Items must be returned intact, unopened and complete in their original packaging, within 4 days of receipt of your package. You are responsible for the return postage costs. In the case of an exchange, the shipping costs for your new order are free. As soon as we receive your coffee, we will inspect it and, if your return is approved, we will issue a refund or exchange. We cannot accept a return/exchange if the coffee has been ground.

Academy

How often do you give classes?

In general, we offer 1 “barista” course per month and 1 “filter coffee” course every 4 months.

I'd like to practice on my own machine. Can I bring it to the class?

Yes, if you can bring your own machine and mill, it's always better to practice on the machine you use every day. But if not, we provide the necessary equipment.

How long do home barista and home brewing courses last?

The course lasts 4 hours. We start with caffeology, followed by a tasting of our different coffees. Then we move on to extraction. For the barista, we give an introduction to latte art, and for the brewer, we try out different extraction methods with different coffees.

Professional account

What are the delivery times?

We roast to order for professionals every Monday. All orders placed before 11am on Monday are processed and sent on Tuesday for delivery on Wednesday.

Do you have prices for professionals?

We have specific prices for offices and specific prices for restaurants and hotels. We have no minimum quantity, but the price per kilo depends on the monthly quantity ordered. You can contact us at info@thegoodlifecoffee.com and we'll redirect you to the right contact person.

Coffees and products

What types of coffee do you sell?

We roast specialty coffee, 100% high-quality Arabica. We have a wide range of coffees, from “light” roasts with less bitterness, more acidity and fruit, to “dark” roasts with more bitterness and less acidity, but still respecting the product.

What are the different categories on your site?

We have blends, which are a blend of several origins (for example 50% Brazil and 50% Guatemala), the “single origin” category, which are coffees with a distinctive aromatic profile from a single origin (even if the producer may vary from one harvest to another, but the country will remain the same), the “single origin +” category, which are coffees that can change with each season, depending on our discoveries. We also have a “limited edition” category, which are very specific micro-lots available in small quantities, and last but not least, coffees from our “coffee shop collection”, which are coffees we roast exclusively for a coffeeshop.

How do you store your coffee and for how long?

It's always best to consume coffee within 6 months of the roasting date (which is always on our packets), even though it's not a product that expires, it will lose its aroma. Store in a cool, dark place.

When can you start drinking a received coffee?

As CO2 is created during roasting, we recommend waiting 1 week before starting to consume the coffee, to avoid the water coming into contact with the CO2 and resulting in an uneven extraction.

Where and how do you source your green beans?

We have two possible ways of importing green coffee. The first is “direct trade”, where we use a Swiss platform that allows the producer to set his own price. The second is through an importer. Whatever the route, we always taste the green coffee to select it.

What's the difference between coffee roasted for “espresso” and coffee roasted for “filter and espresso”?

Espresso coffee is darker roasted and more suitable for espresso extraction. But depending on your tastes, it's perfectly possible to prepare it using another method, such as the French press. A coffee for “espresso and filter” will be roasted more lightly and lends itself very well to “filter” extraction (V60, French press, etc.) but can also be prepared as espresso (which will give a slightly more acidic and fruity espresso).

Roastery tour

Can I buy coffee beans from the Savigny roastery?

We offer you the possibility of picking up your coffee bags directly from the roastery, saving on shipping costs. You can also bring your own container and save 10% on your coffee purchase.

What are the opening hours?

We're usually on hand from 9.30am to 5pm, but as we're a small team, it's always best to call ahead to make sure one of us is present.

Subscription

How does your subscription option work?

You can create a subscription online via our “my subscription” page, so you'll never run out of your favorite coffee. You can choose the quantity and frequency. If you select the “filter” or “espresso” option, you'll receive different coffees with each delivery, but always adapted to the chosen method. If you want to receive the same coffee every time, you can select the “custom” option and choose your preferred coffee.

What is the payment method?

The first order must be paid by credit card, after which you pay by invoice sent by email every month.

Can I stop it at any time?

You can stop and resume your subscription at any time by logging into your account.

Can I offer a subscription?

Absolutely. You can simply create a subscription in the name of the person of your choice and enter your email address to receive monthly invoices directly (so it remains a gift).

Gift cards

Can I offer a gift card so that the person can make purchases directly on the site?

Yes, we offer gift cards worth CHF 20, 50 and 100, as well as a gift card worth CHF 180 for barista or brewing training.

I've bought a gift card, what happens next?

Our team will prepare a PDF with the code to activate the gift voucher and send it to you by email. Once received, you can offer it to the person of your choice.
