This collection of three coffees from El Salvador is the result of our roaster Stéphanie's trip. She travelled to El Salvador to visit the Los Pirineos farm at the top of the Tecapa volcano in the Usulután region. Run by Diego Baraona, whom Stéphanie has met on several occasions, the farm is a pioneer in coffee cultivation in El Salvador and produces 25 different varieties. She selected two lots for you, a Pacamara Red Honey (apple, caramel, honey) and a semi-washed Konka (red fruits, molasses and vanilla), both roasted for filter and espresso. During the rest of her trip, Stéphanie had the chance to meet producer Jorge Cruz Rubio, who was serving his coffee on the beaches of El Salvador to make coffee more accessible to locals. They have stayed in touch ever since, and Jorge has visited us twice in Switzerland. She selected a Pacamara red honey lot (lemon curd, panela, honey) roasted for espresso.
